I know Drew and I have a lot to learn, but here are some of the things I've learned since becoming a mom:
1) How to kick an object on the floor into the air, and catch it in my hand (usually a burpie cloth).
2) How to clean spit-up from a variety of surfaces, without throwing up myself.
3) How to con Drew into changing a dirty diaper (I'll get it started, and then call for "backup", and then say, "Oh, I have to wash my hands...can you finish up here?")
4) How to smile at 3:00 a.m., when I really feel like crying.
I'll just have to keep adding to the list.
Oh, and I thought of something to say when people who don't understand breastfeeding ask me why I'm still doing it..."Why buy the formula when you can milk the cow for free?". Tee hee.

Do you have many people question you about "still" breastfeeding? Maybe I look like I might hurt someone, but I haven't had many people outright question it. Lainey is now 13 mo and going strong! She probably feeds 5 or 6 times a day, but we do seem to be lessening the feeds at night somewhat. Just tell them "Look at these.. wouldn't YOU prefer them to a bottle?" ;-) Keep at it! Hayden stopped at 14 mo, but I wouldn't be surprised if Lainey hangs on for longer.
Hang in there sister!! Nobody's business but yours. You can always remind them when he goes to school and is never sick what a wonderful start you gave him by breastfeeding.
PS-I love the pictures, he is such a handsome boy!!!
Thanks, ladies! No one has questioned me outright, but a lot of times ask how long I'm going to continue to pump at work. Maybe I'm reading into it! I actually enjoy pumping time...in a room (with a door), with no interruptions...although I have answered phone calls on occasion, and have to answer, "What's that noise?". :)
